MEXICAN BURGER WITH PINEAPPLE BBQ SAUCE

Here’s the perfect recipe for our Mexican 3-beans burger with a homemade BBQ sauce.

Ingredients
For pineapple bbq sauce
½cuppineapple chunks
2garlic cloves
1tbspcornstarch
1jalapeno
1cupwater
1onion (diced)
tamari
smoked paprika
sugar
apple cider vinegar
tomato paste
For the burger
1box of VG Mexican 3-bean burger
lettuce
buns
Preparation
For pineapple bbq sauce

In a blender mix 2 cloves garlic, chopped jalapeno, half cup pineapple chunks, 1tbsp cornstarch and water. Set aside

In a saucepan over medium high heat add 1 tbsp oil, with ½ onion (diced) and sauté for 1 minute

Add 100 ml tomato paste with the pineapple sauce from the blender and mix well

Add in 2 tbsp. tamari, 2 tbsp. sugar, 1 tsp. smoked paprika and ¼ cup apple cider vinegar

Cook for about 5 minutes. Add water if desired.
For the burger

Chop the onion in large pieces, add some salt and oil, bake in the oven for 25 minutes at 375

Heat the burgers according to the instructions on the box and assemble your burger by adding the sauce, caramelized onion, lettuce and a few slices of jalapeños (if you REALLY LOVE spicy😝)
